What type of files does the software support?

The program supports the following types of files: Supported Camera File Formats: Canon(CR2 /CRW), Fuji(RAF), Kodak(K25 /KDC/DCR), Minolta(MRW), Nikon(NEF), Olympus(ORF), Pentax(PEF), Sigma(X3F), Sony(SR2). Audio file formats: RPS, AU, OGG, WAV, MP3, AIFF, MIDI, M4A, M4P, WMA. Video file formats: MOV, AVI, ASF, WMV, MP4. Besides these file formats, common file types such as Jpeg, Tiff (Motorola & Intel), BMP, GIF and PNG are also supported. How to use the software to recover my images?


Launch the program which will display the software's main interface window. • Double click on physical disk / logical drive/ image file displayed in the left pane. • You have to select the appropriate action from the window that appears to proceed further. The recovery can be done in two ways: 1. Photo Recovery This option will search the entire drive or the image created by the software for media and image files and lists them in tree view. Selective scanning is also possible i.e. you can scan selected file types, which will save your time. To start photo recovery: • Click Photo Recovery option, which will prompt Select File Type window where all the file formats supported by the software are displayed. • Select the file format(s) that is to be scanned or select all for complete search and click OK. • Now, the scanning process will commence. After scanning, list of folders indicating each file formats will be displayed in the left pane. • Click each folder to view files in it. For file preview, just click on any file (or use up & down keys). • You can either recover all or selected files displayed in the tree generated. 2. Create Image You can create an exact image of an attached drive, if you wish not to involve it in the recovery process. The ‘Create Image’ option will allow you to create an image of the storage media. Each sector of the drive is read and saved as an image in the specified location. This image will help you to recover the media files even if the drive is not available and also it helps in speedy recovery of media with bad sectors. To create an image: • Click Create Image option. Now you have to specify the location and the filename. • The image creation process will start. As soon as the process is complete, the image add-in to the treeview in left pane. • To proceed further with recovery, you have to first scan the image. When the scanning is complete, you can either recover all or selected files from the scan result.

I do not want to use my drive directly for recovery. Can I still use the software for recovery ?
